STAGE ALL SET FOR THE SEMI FINAL CLASH OF 33RD FEDERATION CUP IN NOIDA KERALA WOMEN TO MEET EASTERN RAILWAY IN SEMI

Noida 14th June 2019 : Kerala Women will meet Eastern Railway in the semi finals of the 33rd Federation Cup Basketball Championship organised by the Uttar Pradesh Basketball Association under the aegis of the Basketball Federation of India at Gautham Budda University in Noida.
In the second semi finals, in women’s Tamil Nadu will meet Maharashtra.
In men’s Punjab Police will take on Shri Guru Gobind College Chandigarh and Indian Army will take on Income Tax Chennai.
Kerala drubbed Chhattisgarh 88-44 to top the Group B with International Anjanna PG top scoring with 23 points, Rojamol scoring 20, Poojamol with 13 points and Stephy Nixon contributing 10 points.
Maharashtra also entered the semi finals as they defeated Uttar Pradesh 69-41 with International and Malayalee Sruthi Aravind anching the scoring with 25 points.
Tamil Nadu Women’s team topped the Group A defeating the defending champion Eastern Railway. Dharshini was the top scorer for Tamil Nadu with 24 points and captain Srivdya scored 18 for the victory. Both of them qualified for the semi finals match from Group A.
In women’s Group B Kerala drubbed Chhattisgarh 88-44 to top the group with International Anjana PG top scoring with 23 points and in other group match Maharashtra defeated Uttar Pradesh 69-41 with International Sruthi Aravind anchoring the score with 25 points and helped them to play the semi finals as the second team from Group B.
In men’s Group A Punjab completed their engagement as they beat ASC Centre Bangalore 92-70 to top the Group A and entered the semi finals along with defending champions Income Tax Chennai who defeated RDSO Lucknow and came second in the group.
In men’s Group B Indian Army defeated Sri Guru Gobind College Chandugarh 101-77 and both entered the semi finals as group topper and runner up respectively.
