INDIA WON FIBA U16 ASIAN QUALIFIER FINALS

India Retained 3rd SABA South Zone Championship in Bangladesh
Bangladesh 5th July 2019: The Indian U16 men’s team has beaten Srilanka 72-41 and is now the SABA U16 Zone Champion. The Championship was held at Dhaka, Bangladesh.
In India’s last game, Point guard and captain Pranav Prince top scored with 15 points and guard Dig vijay Singh Sekhavat scored 11 points.
Team India was a dominant force throughout the Championship, as they scored 378 from 4 matches and limited their opponents to 66 points.
The stats speak for itself as India now cruise into the FIBA U16 Asian Championship with ease, which will be held in August place not yet confirmed
The team trained by Serbian coach Veselin Matic at the Basketball Academy, Jayaprakash Narayan National Youth Center, Vidyanagar, Bangalore from 03 June 2019, supported by Indian Coach P C Antony from Kerala and Aman Sharma (Asst Coach of the team) from Jammu and Kashmir
After this victory Pranav Prince (Kerala) Achintya Krishna (Karnataka) Lokendra Singh (Rajasthan) will now be Moving to Atlanta representing NBA Academy to play at NBA Academy Games – a series of exhibition games featuring prospects from the seven NBA Academies and other teams – will take place Tuesday, July 9 – Sunday, July 14 at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex, the official practice facility of the Atlanta Hawks.
